CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, FIREWIND, KORPIKLAANI First-Week Sales Revealed

"Inflikted", the debut album from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY the new project from SEPULTURA founding members Max Cavalera (guitar, vocals; also in SOULFLY) and Igor Cavalera (drums) sold 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.

It is interesting to note that "Dark Ages", the latest album from Max's other band SOULFLY, has shifted 59,000 units since its 2005 release. Meanwhile, "Dante XXI"SEPULTURA's final studio effort to feature Igor Cavalera has sold 18,000 copies in the U.S. since being released in March 2006.

The following are notable heavy metal/hard rock U.S. sales debuts for the week ending March 30, 2008, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan (all CD figures are rounded to the nearest hundred [except numbers over 10,000, which are rounded to the nearest thousand, and figures under 1,000, which are rounded to the nearest 50]; The Billboard 200 chart position included, where applicable):
